"I think all actors - they'll hate me for saying this - but we are babies. We like to be loved, and we'll do anything if we're loved." -Anjelica Huston
Diplo made a mix for the poindexters, know-it-alls, genuine music lovers (Rollie Pemberton I see you!) and snobs at Pitchfork (ED: It's actually for the people!!!).
Diplo's record label Mad Decent run an incredible blog of raps, club catnip, CanCon and world music, but not the kind that Ian Raymond listens to. The kind that makes you go get passport photos taken.
Please purchase this mixtape that Diplo made, if you want to blow the minds of yourself and others. forever.
For free, enjoy this "minimix" that Diplo did for the BBC.
Someday, when Ronson is playing a bond villain named Break Staxman and Daniel Radcliffe is Bond. He's going to say something like: "Don't worry about 007, I've got him...covered."
Ronson's songs are all over some American MTV and TV promo's and commercials right now, and he will apparently be all over the MTV awards. I've never heard them in the supermarket.
However, I hate the supermarket and would gladly take any of Mark's productions over the sound of singing "Lost in the Supermarket" to myself as I compare prices of no name and big three puddings.
I think it's interesting that music made out of pure joy is now considered marketable (and as a marketing tool for):
The next bar Homer tries has two female zodiacal symbols interlocking on the sign above the door.
Homer: Wait a minute...there's something bothering me about this place. [looks around] I know! This lesbian bar doesn't have a fire exit. Enjoy your death trap, ladies. [leaves]
Woman: What was her problem?
The Smalltown Dj's didn't make it to Boston, but Stinkmitt overcame a small crowd and rocked a venue that was voted "Boston's #1 Lesbian Bar 2006."
LOL
The gig started late, but I had many beers with a nice lady who loved it when I whistled at the same girls as her, or grabbed her boobs. Apparently, in a lesbian bar, a guy can gets huge laughs acting like a newly divorced gondolier/construction worker fresh out of prison.
I almost signed up to sing Meatloaf with a transvestite at what they called "Queer-a-oke", the moon shone on the Isle of Lesbos, but the show had run late and I had to go, so I crossed town...
Certified Bananas were great. A highlight of the night for me was when Sammy Bananas got on the mic and said "This is my favourite song of all time" as he dropped this:
For three minutes I was eleven again. That's me on the left, when I was eleven
I missed the Miss Fairchild set, but they are kind to foreigners, smartly dressed, filled with tips, good at banter...and the mixtape is pretty unbelievable.
As far as music goes:
I'm almost converted Flight of the Conchords hater. The songs and manager make the show watchable, more on this TV Dingo as it walks by the cultural billabong...The Kiwi, now with soul...
New mixtapes, and serious songs coming very soon. Now...I'm going here:
CHOW
BBQ
PS: All United States please tighten your "free country" game up. Marriage doesn't mean anything, but it should be available to humans that want it.
PSS: It's weird that same sex marriages are illegal everywhere but Massachusetts, but thisinsanity is totally legal and considered essential to freedom.

I can't speculate on the thought process of skate shoes P and Twista, but the point of attack in this song feels like a nod to Hank Kingsley, one of my favourite characters.
"Heather Mills...I'm not saying she's a gold digger, but she's not hanging out with that guy from The Beatles anymore." -Mark (Internet Radio's Woody Allen) Ronson
The above video was directed by Michel Gondry who would be the best film director on Earth if Wes Anderson, Martin Scorcese and Joel Coen were killed by a loose rhino.
Here's a clip from Michel's last released movie that is so good you'll be shouting "It's a boy's name too!" at the screen.
This song has been everywhere lately, and I'm really into songs by legends that are decades old that sound like they could've been released last week. Freshness rots, the sublime is fresh forever...like nutrament...Paul... PAUL McCARTNEY - TEMPORARY SECRETARY
Mandolin, SIr Paul, dancing, are these connections too subtle.
It won't be easy to talk about for another few days, but Wilco's live show lived up to anticipations of sublimity. It was a rocking and emotional affair. Deep rooted rocking was released from performers and fans, I'd tag it religious, but...
